Youth Program: Generational Givers x Team building/Leadership Tour

From team building to learning, that’s what leadership is all about!Our youth started the day with team-building activities and ended by learning about young leader JerJuan Howard, who opened his own bookstore right in his neighborhood! There’s something special about learning from young leaders who are making a difference in their communities. It reminds our youth that leadership has no age limit, and you don’t have to wait until you’re older to make an impact!Through our Generational Givers program, we’re helping young people see what’s possible, discover their potential, and understand that they, too, can be leaders and change-makers in their communities.

Youth Program: Generational Givers x Environmental Stewardship

our Generational Givers spent the day at Belle Isle learning about environmental stewardship and the power of community partnerships. Through a collaboration with the City of Detroit Youth Affairs Office, led by Director Jerjuan Howard, and the Belle Isle Conservancy, our youth had the opportunity to experience a live demonstration with “Betty,” the BeBot beach-cleaning robot, roll up their sleeves for a hands-on beach cleanup, and learn from Green Living Science about the impact of plastic pollution on our environment, our bodies, and our health.It was more than just a day at the park—it was an opportunity for our youth to learn, serve, and see firsthand how they can make a difference in their communities.

Sixth Annual Back to School Resource Party

Our Sixth Annual Resource Party + @313detroitisme 8th Annual Back 2 School Empowerment Event. What a SUCCESS! We partnered to make a real impact—not only helping our children start the school year prepared and empowered, but connecting families with valuable resources to help them thrive. From community resources to entertainment, food, and FUN, we created a day filled with love, connection, and opportunity.
