our youth explored Downtown Detroit through a community scavenger hunt, acts of kindness, and visits to local businesses and landmarks.They also stepped out of their comfort zones by approaching community members and asking thoughtful questions about what they feel youth and the community need. These conversations helped them hear real voices from the city and better understand the challenges and hopes within their own neighborhoods.For many, even riding the QLINE was a new and uncomfortable experience but they chose courage anyway. Through teamwork, confidence, and curiosity, they connected with their city in a meaningful way. Their reminder: growth happens when you’re willing to try something new and real leadership listens.
